India Women completed a 3-0 series whitewash against Zimbabwe with a comprehensive 92-run victory in the third match. Smriti Mandhana and her team dominated the visitors throughout the series, never allowing Zimbabwe to settle into the contest.

Batting first, India posted an imposing total of 216/7. In reply, Zimbabwe could manage only 124/7, handing India a convincing victory.

Harmanpreet Kaur was named Player of the Match for her explosive unbeaten knock of 91 off just 41 balls. Her innings featured 10 boundaries and five sixes, with an outstanding strike rate of 221.95.

Shafali Verma also delivered a spectacular performance, scoring 69 off 37 balls. With 128 runs, including two half-centuries, across the series, Shafali was named Player of the Series. She maintained an impressive strike rate of 200 throughout the three-match contest.

For Zimbabwe, Beloved Biza was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets for 18 runs.

Chasing 217 for victory, Zimbabwe struggled to keep up with the required run rate. Sharne Mayers top-scored with 60 runs, while Beloved Biza contributed 44 after her impressive performance with the ball. However, the lack of substantial contributions from the other batters meant Zimbabwe finished well short of the target at 124/7.

For India, Nandani Sharma led the bowling attack with three wickets for 18 runs. Kanti Goud, Arundhati Reddy, Deepti Sharma and Niki Prasad picked up one wicket apiece.

The series marked Smriti Mandhana's first assignment as India's captain. Beginning her captaincy tenure with a dominant 3-0 series victory will provide the new skipper and her team with plenty of confidence going forward.

Bengal in the Driving Seat as Bowlers Dominate Against Services in Ranji Trophy

Bowlers continued to dominate the Bengal-Services Ranji Trophy clash, with the fourth innings beginning on the second day itself. The match is almost certain to produce a result, but the big question is: who will emerge victorious? Bengal appear to have the upper hand, as they need just 10 wickets to win, while Services must score another 197 runs. On a difficult, spin-friendly pitch, chasing down the target will be a formidable challenge.
