There were glimpses of his father Virender Sehwag's batting style in Aryav's innings. His quick footwork against both pace and spin stood out, as the young opener continued to showcase his growing potential. Aryav first grabbed headlines during the domestic Under-19 50-over tournament, the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. He subsequently impressed with consistent performances against Australia's Under-19 side before carrying that form into the Asia Cup.
Another youngster attracting attention is Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain Rahul Dravid. However, with the target being relatively small and India's openers dominating the chase, the wicketkeeper-batter did not get an opportunity to bat.
Earlier, Nepal were bowled out for just 128 in 42.3 overs, thanks to impressive performances from India's bowlers Ishan Sudhan and Arjun Rajput. Both picked up three wickets, with Ishan conceding 18 runs and Arjun giving away just eight.
India will now turn their attention to their next encounter against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday.
