Mohun Bagan suggests age limits, new categories for OCI players in a new letter to the AIFF
l. The club has suggested that the inclusion of OCI players should be optional and that they be considered as domestic players in the league.

XtraTime Newsdesk: 4 time ISL champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant(MBSG) has submitted a set of recommendations to the All India Football Federation in regards to the implementation of the Overseas Citizen of India(OCI) rule in Indian football. The club has suggested that the inclusion of OCI players should be optional and that they be considered as domestic players in the league.
The Kolkata based club has written that this suggestion would encourage clubs to use more OCI players in their squad. Mohun Bagan has also said that there should be an age limit to this policy, stating that allowing older players(35 and up) run contrary to the objectives of the policy presented by the federation.
The club has has suggested two approaches: to set the age limit at 30 so that players can get their Indian passport within the timeframe and play for the national team. They have also given an alternative solution: to give an incentive for clubs to sign an OCI player(26 and younger) so that they can play for the national team by 2034.
Mohun Bagan has also stated that the federation should categorize 2-3 OCI players per club as domestic players to accelerate the implementation of the policy.
