There is good news for football fans in Kolkata. Watching matches at Yuva Bharati Krirangan is set to become much more convenient with the introduction of a paperless ticketing system. Starting with the 135th IndianOil Durand Cup, spectators who purchase tickets online will no longer have to redeem them for physical tickets before entering the stadium.

Previously, supporters had to collect a physical ticket from designated counters even after booking online, often leading to long queues and unnecessary delays. With the introduction of M-Ticket-based entry, the entire process will be faster, smoother, and more convenient for spectators.
The Durand Cup organising committee's move is expected to be welcomed by football lovers, as it significantly enhances the overall matchday experience by eliminating the need for offline ticket redemption.
The 135th edition of the IndianOil Durand Cup kicks off on Saturday, with the season's opening Kolkata Derby between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal at Yuva Bharati Krirangan.
This year's tournament will be played across five venues. Kolkata will host matches from two groups, along with one quarter-final, one semi-final, and the grand final, taking the city's total to 16 matches during the tournament.
