Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa was the standout performer, making six superb saves to deny Colombia on multiple occasions. At the other end, Camilo Vargas also impressed, producing two key stops to keep Portugal off the scoresheet.
Colombia thought they had found a dramatic late winner when Davinson Sánchez headed home from a Juan Quintero corner. However, after a VAR review, the goal was ruled out for offside, denying the South Americans all three points.
Both teams created several chances in the first half. Colombia came close through Jhon Córdoba, whose effort was brilliantly saved by Costa. Moments later, Jhon Arias looked set to score before Portugal midfielder Rúben Neves made a vital goal-line clearance.
Portugal also threatened, with Bruno Fernandes and João Félix creating promising opportunities, but neither could find the breakthrough. Cristiano Ronaldo had the ball in the net during the second half, but the effort was disallowed after he was flagged offside.
The draw sees Colombia finish top of Group K with seven points from three matches, while Portugal advance to the knockout stage as runners-up with five points.
In the group's other fixture, DR Congo secured a 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan to finish third with four points. Their tally was enough to qualify as one of the tournament's best third-placed teams, earning them a place in the Round of 32, where they will face England.
