FIFA's World Cup Team Revealed: Vozinha Gets Ahead of Simon; Harry Kane Misses out And Lisandro Martinez Gets In

XtraTime Newsdesk: FIFA revealed the Team of World Cup 2026 and it included a few surprises. Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, who astonished everyone with his talents and has now earned a large social media following, finished ahead of Spain's Unai Simon and England's Jordan Pickford.

On the other hand, Spain defender Pau Cubarsi was unable to get a spot, and instead, France's Dayot Upamecano and Argentina's Lisandro Martinez were named centre backs. Spain and France each had three players in the Team of the Tournament, while the runners-up had two.

Vozinha was the find of the tournament along with Cape Verde who stunned everyone with their fearless brand of football. The team remained unbeaten throughout the competition and were only beaten by Argentina in extra time during their Round of 32 clash. The 40-year-old even earned praise from the likes of Lionel Messi and has now become a household name.In defence, Marc Cucurella was included with teammate Pedro Porro on the other side.

In the midfield, Golden Ball winner Rodri was an easy choice. The Spain international delivered outstanding performances, playing a key role in helping Spain to the World Cup victory. Along with Rodri, England's Jude Bellingham and France's Micheal Olise earned spots after outstanding performances by both youngsters.

The biggest surprise was the absence of England's Harry Kane from the attacking line. Norway attacker Erling Haaland was picked, alongside France's Kylian Mbappe and Argentina's Lionel Messi on each wing.
