Age Is Just a Number? Ravi Shastri’s Birthday Wish for PM Modi Raises Eyebrows

XtraTime Webdesk: Birthday wishes are generally about getting the name right, the date right and most importantly, the age right. But, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri didn't seem to remember the "age right" thing while wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Yesterday, Shastri chose X (Twitter) to wish PM Modi on his birthday. In his message, he wrote that Modi had "entered his 70s in some style", while praising his energy and drive following the BRICS summit.
The birthday wish was totally fine but there were just one tiny problem. The office website of the Prime Minister describes that Narendra Modi was born on the 17th of September, 1950. This means that he turned 76 and was not 'entering his 70s", like Shastri claimed.
We all have seen Shastri being hilarious on the field and on commentariey but now the unseriousness has reached the next level. While Shastri's is technically correct in saying that Modi is in his 70s, his tweet made it sound like that he just turned into a septuagenarian and was not already one by 2020.
The post quickly caught attention online, with the former Indian coach's compliment about Modi's energy and drive taking back a seat to the curious age reference. Shastri was simply being generous with the numbers or may be Shastri's birthday calculator needs a drinks break!
