Through an official X post BCCI has confirmed Ishan Kishan 's injury. They also said that the BCCI medical team is keenly looking after his injury. However, Kishan will miss the second match as India look to win the match to get victory in this series.
Sooryavanshi is part of the team but he has missed the first match and now he is in the selector 's mind as a replacement of Ishan Kishan. This teenage batting sensation has already made his senior international debut and he was part of the Gold medal winning men's cricket team in the 2026 Asian Games.
Therefore, if he gets chance in the playing XI as a replacement of Ishan Kishan it will mark another opportunity for him. Sooryavanshi can also use this match to proof himself why he deserves place in the playing XI.
