Sachin Tendulkar gives a pep talk to the Indian Womens Team on Day 4 of their test against England

XtraTime Newsdesk: After an appearance at the Royal Court in Wimbledon, legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar couldn't resist the temptation to attend the first ever women's Test at Lords between India and England. Before the last day of the women's test commenced, Tendulkar gave a pep talk to captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh and co.

According to Sky Sports, Tendulkar dropped by Lord's unannounced and found time to chat with the Indian women's team, who were just four wickets away from scripting history at the Home of Cricket.

The timing of the visit could hardly have been more significant. India headed into the final day overwhelming favourites after dominating three days of the one-off Test, with England reduced to 130 for 6 while chasing an improbable target of 457 runs. With just four wickets separating them from a famous victory, Tendulkar's words added another memorable moment to an already historic occasion.

The Indian legend addressed the team on the hallowed turf of the Lord's Ground. He gave a major boost to the morale of the team who went on the win the match by 270 runs.

India's near-perfect performance during the four days days of the Test secured them their dominant position. Yastika Bhatia became the first female Test century scorer at Lord's with an incredible 113 from 158 balls. After Smriti Mandhana set the pace with a quick 70, her historic knock anchored India's second innings. Harmanpreet Kaur declared on 341 for 7, giving England a formidable total of 457, while Richa Ghosh supplied the final touches with an undefeated half-century.

Kranti Gaud, Sayali Satghare, and Sneh Rana destroyed England and reduced them to 186 helping their team achieve a historic victory. Indian womens team can now hold their heads high with this dominant performance to win the match.
