XtraTime Webdesk: India has achieved another remarkable day at the 2026 Asian games in Aichi-Nagoya in Japan in shooting section. This remarkable day for India was brought by Himanshu Dhillon and Rudrankksh patil as Dhillon won the silver medel and Patil won the bronze medel in the men's 10m air rifle individual event today.
However, the gold medel was won by China's Sheng Lihao after giving a captivating performance and fighting fiercely. But, with the fighting spirit of Himanshu and Rudrankksh India got a double podium finish in the event.
The early lead was taken by Rudrankksh as he scored 52.8 in the opening series. He followed the lead with a captivating 53.2 and went to open the second series with a 1.1 point advantage. After 12 shots Rudrankksh got a lead with 127.4 points.
Himanshu has also shown his fighting spirit from the beginning. After 12 shots Himanshu had 126.6 points and Sheng had 126.3 points. After 16 shots, Sheng got a lead of 168.8 and Himanshu and Rudrankksh both had 168.6 points.
After that Himanshu produced a 10.9 to move closer.
Even after 20 shots Sheng maintained his advantage and Rudrankksh has 210.6 and Himanshu had 210.0 points.

The dramatic change in the game came after 22 shots when Rudrankksh got eliminated on 230.9 points. Himanshu was just 0.1 point ahead and he had 231.0 which brought him the chance to move towards final gold medal battle against Sheng.
In the gold medal battle Himanshu ended up with 252.4 points and bagged the silver when Sheng finished with 254.2 and won the gold medal.
Earlier in the day, Rudrankksh, Himanshu and Parth Mane had also won silver in the men’s 10m air rifle team event. India scored 1890.1, finishing behind China’s world-record 1899.0, while South Korea took bronze with 1884.2.
