The group stage draw for the AFC Women's Champions League Qualifiers was held on Thursday at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, with Indian Women's League (IWL) champions East Bengal FC learning their opponents.
Representing India in the continental competition, East Bengal have been placed in a group alongside Sabah FA of Malaysia, Rovers FC of Guam, and Rajshahi Stars FC of Bangladesh.
The Red and Gold Brigade will begin their qualifying campaign on August 17 against Rajshahi Stars FC. They will then face Rovers FC on August 20, before taking on hosts Sabah FA in their final group fixture on August 23.
East Bengal had also represented India in the previous edition after winning the IWL title. They created history by becoming the first Indian club to register a victory in the group stage of the AFC Women's Champions League.
This year's qualifying tournament will be played in Malaysia under a single round-robin format. A total of 24 teams will compete, divided into six groups of four teams each. The qualifiers will be held from August 17 to August 23.
The winners of each of the six groups will secure direct qualification to the group stage of the AFC Women's Champions League, where they will be joined by six other qualified teams.
