XtraTime Newsdesk: There was a lot of drama in the Wimbledon 2026 quarterfinals on Tuesday, as Novak Djokovic produced one of the tournament's most memorable wins. The seven-time winner defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada in a five-hour, fifteen-minute marathon, winning 7-6(10), 3-6, 6-3, 6-7(4), and 7-6(4) to secure his spot in the semifinals. In addition to setting a new tournament record with his 106th Wimbledon triumph, Djokovic's victory also paved the way for a thrilling matchup with world No. 1 and reigning champion Jannik Sinner.
Sinner continued his stellar run at the All England Club earlier in the day, easily defeating Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany 7-5, 7-6(4), 6-3.
In the women's draw, Coco Gauff overcame a set disadvantage to defeat fellow American Jessica Pegula 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, to advance to her first-ever Wimbledon semifinal. She will take on Karolina Muchova, who defeated Naomi Osaka in straight sets to cap her outstanding season.
As the competition for the singles crowns heats up, Wimbledon 2026 resumes with a jam-packed day of quarterfinal action. In the men's bracket, British wildcard Arthur Fery seeks to continue his incredible run against ninth-seeded Flavio Cobolli in front of a home crowd, while recently crowned French Open winner Alexander Zverev takes on American Taylor Fritz in one of the most memorable matches.
There will be a lot of excitement in the women's quarterfinals as well. Linda Noskova and Elise Mertens square off in another finely matched match, while Marta Kostyuk faces 2024 finalist Jasmine Paolini in a fight for a spot in the last four.
