XtraTime Newsdesk: Panagiotis Dilmperis, widely known as Panos, has been hired as the new head coach of Mohun Bagan Super Giant on a one-year deal. After coaching duties with other clubs in Greece's premier league, the Greek strategist joined Punjab FC last season, where he had an outstanding tenure.

Rooted on an offensive yet balanced footballing philosophy, the 51-year-old’s biggest strength is his proven ability to develop seamless synergy between seasoned veterans and youthful stars.

He also said that the objective is always to compete for every trophy with the club. On facing East Bengal in his first match, he said that he understood the importance of the derby and that emotions won't drive their preparations. Panos promised the supporters that they will respect the ISL champions but will play with the courage and ambition expected from the club.
Panos will need all the fan's energy(as he said himself) to take this team over the finish line next season. Mohun Bagan will face East Bengal in Durand's Cup opening match on 25th July at Salt Lake Stadium and Panos will be keen to make a mark right there.
